Cold Hawaii Ultra is a ultra and trail running race through the west coast wilderness featuring some of Denmark’s wildest and most astonishing nature. The race takes place on

     18 - 19 September, 2026

Where the North Sea hits Thy with full force, where sandstorms raged for centuries, where the expanses are greater and nature is wilder, you find Thy National Park. From the Hanstholm Wildlife Reserve in the north, with its roaring red deer, to Agger Tange in the south, where tens of thousands of migratory birds stop off to rest, Cold Hawaii Ultra takes you through it all.

Race either 12 km, 24 km, 50 km, 50 miles (81 km), or 100 miles (162 km) on foot through grand scenery characterized by the vast coastal dunes, jaw-dropping heathlands, and the peaceful dune plantations. The course will take you onto small single tracks in-between the dunes, down to the beach, and through coniferous plantations and small coastal fishing villages where fishing cutters are still landed and beached every day.

The entire race area spans from Løkken in the north to Agger in the south. With deviations throughout, all the courses follow the West Coast Trail and ‘Redningsvejen’, the old lifeboat road. The 100 miles course will also make use of the North Sea Trail and Hærvejen.

All courses finish at Vesterhavshytten and Signalmasten in Agger.
